... is situated in Anambra state, South-east geopolitical zone of Nigeria and has its headquarters in the town of Ukpor.
The estimated population of Nnewi south LGA is put at 218,717 inhabitants with the vast majority of the area’s populace made up of members of the Igbo ethnic group. The Igbo language is commonly spoken in the LGA while the religion of Christianity is widely practiced in the area. Our History

Nnewi South Local Government Area is located in Anambra State, Nigeria. It was created in 1991 during the administration of President Ibrahim Babangida, as part of the efforts to decentralize governance and bring government closer to the people at the grassroots level. Nnewi South is primarily inhabited by the Igbo ethnic group, known for their industrial and entrepreneurial prowess. The area has a rich history rooted in Igbo culture and traditions. It has been a significant hub for commerce, industry, and trade, particularly known for its thriving manufacturing sector, including automobile parts production, textiles, and other goods. Over the years, Nnewi South has seen substantial growth and development, both in terms of infrastructure and economy. Its strategic location and industrious population have contributed to its status as an economic powerhouse within Anambra State and Nigeria as a whole.
